Who can apply for a Highly Qualified Professional Visa?

Those workers who…

Have a Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in an area related to the position.

They aspire to a position considered highly qualified or highly skilled -technical or managerial-, and meet the minimum salary, (42,000 euros for technically qualified workers or 55,000 euros for managers).

Aim for a company classified as a large company (with a minimum number of employees, revenues or assets), in a strategic sector or working on a project of socio-economic interest for Spain.

What are the benefits for the applicant of this type of visa once obtained?

If applying within Spain (recommended; we organise this on your behalf), successful applicants are granted a 2-year visa, renewed for another 2 years and then again for another 2 years. After 5 years, you can apply for a 5-year permit.

The ruling, as it is before the Large Business Unit, must be resolved within a maximum of 30 days.

You are granted all the benefits of Spanish residency, including rights to public services, and the freedom to travel throughout the Schengen area.

Joint family visa. If you are eligible for the qualifying visa, your immediate family may also accompany you.
